A degree from Hanken is highly valued

Every autumn, a national questionnaire is sent out to all those who have graduated from a university in Finland following up on their careers. According to the latest results, Hanken is placed at the very top by graduates with a master’s degree in business when evaluating their education programmes.

The latest survey shows excellent results for Hanken. 95% of Hanken graduates are satisfied with their career development, while 98% of respondents are happy with their degree and just as many would recommend their alma mater to other students. The response rate was 41.9%.

Among post-graduates, 70% felt that their work tasks had become more interesting and more demanding since getting their doctoral degree and 80% were satisfied with the education they received. The response rate among post-graduates was 77%.

At national level, 87% of graduates said they were satisfied with their master’s degree and 86% are happy with their career so far, with 88% of those who responded saying they would recommend their university education to others.

You can see the results in more detail on Hanken’s website Opens in new window in Power BI format.

This year’s questionnaire was sent out in early October to those who completed their master’s degree in 2016 as well as those who received a doctoral degree in 2018. If this applies to you, then your personal questionnaire has been sent to you by email, post or text message. Every response is important, so remember to answer!

At Hanken, the responses are used in career guidance for students, and for accreditations. Your answers can help both current and future students. Information about graduates’ career paths is valuable when considering their studies and career paths. The results also influence the university’s funding model from 2021 onwards.

The career follow-up survey is carried out by the universities’ joint Aarresaari network.
