Solemn conferment of Master's Degrees 2020

Program

If you graduated with a Master's Degree from Hanken in Helsinki or Vaasa in 2020, you will receive an invitation in Oktober to attend the conferment ceremony and dinner on the 19th of November 2021.

The new graduates will gather at 4.30 p.m. in lecture room Maximum where you receive more information on the procedures during the ceremony.

The official ceremony with speeches and the official conferment starts at 5 p.m. in the Assembly Hall and will last about 1.5 hours. After the official ceremony a glass of sparkling wine is served in the main hall.

Guests

Every graduate can invite 1-2 guests to the Solemn Conferment of Degrees. Guests do not need to be registered and will gather in the Assembly hall 4.50 p.m..

The conferment dinner afterwards is only for the recently graduated Masters and Hanken's staff.
 

Conferment dinner

After the official ceremony there will be a dinner at restaurant Metropol, Hietaniemenkatu 14. The dinner is only for the recently graduated Masters and Hanken's staff and starts at 7.30 p.m..

Dinner includes a three-course meal and drinks. After the dinner there will be some live music and time for dancing. The restaurant closes at 2 am.

Price for dinner is € 79 and payments needs to be done upon registration. Registration is only confirmed when payment is received. 

Please note that registration is binding and needs to be done latest 7.11.2021.

Dress Code

For the recently graduated the dress code is a white tie or dark suit for the gentlemen and a long evening gown for the ladies.

There is no dress code for the guests at the Solemn Conferment, but they are advised to consider the nature of the event.
