¨Continuity of activities during pandemics¨
by Assistant Professor Diego Vega and Doctoral Student Felicia Saiah, Hanken School of Economics

Objectives:

While the world responded to Covid-19, countries that were already in need of humanitarian assistance before the pandemic had to fire-fight multiple frontlines – with insufficient resources – to ensure sufficient healthcare access for its citizens. This session presents and discusses how a medical humanitarian organization ensured the continuity of their operations during the pandemic.

Expected outcomes:

This session aims at launching the discussion of structural changes needed within the humanitarian sector to prepare and respond to a global threat like the Covid-19 pandemic.
