AI Spotlight is a series of 30 minute presentations in which Hanken's researchers share fresh insights, emerging findings, and practical implications for research, business, and society.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming how organizations create, access, and mobilize knowledge, creating new possibilities for innovation and opportunity identification. While existing research has primarily examined opportunity identification as an individual-level cognitive process, less attention has been devoted to understanding how opportunities emerge through collective organizational knowledge processes and how these processes are shaped by AI. We investigate how AI augments intraorganizational knowledge flows and propose a framework explaining how knowledge accumulation, communication, relocation, and connection collectively enable opportunity identification in large organizations.
