Seminar on General Data Protection Rules and how it affects you as a teacher and researcher at Hanken.

From May 2018 the European General Data Protection Rules (GDPR) have to be implemented everywhere in Europe. In research an teaching we handle personal data on a daily basis. We need to know how to treat the data correctly, and when to delete unnecessary data.

  • What are personal data?
  • Rights and obligations
  • About personal data in teaching
  • About handling personal data in research

The final program will be ready in a few days. Our expert in law Dietmar Tallroth, professor Niklas Bruun and our data protection officer Urpo Kaila discuss around the subject.

The GDPR work at Hanken is lead by the GDPR steering group led by professor Matti Kukkonen.

The seminar will be held in Swedish and Finnish, but questions can be answered in English. A seminar in English is to be announced later.
