Now you have the opportunity to meet Janicke Rasmussen, Hanken's board member and associate professor at BI Norwegian Business School during a breakfast event at Hanken on 1 November at 08:30. Janicke talks about her research on why corporate boards fire their CEOs.

In an interview for NIORD magazine, she says:

"Firing a CEO rarely increases the market value of the company, but it can have other positive effects, making it easy to take such a decision, which is an important reason why this practice has become institutionalised. But ultimately, I think we need to find ways to get boards to make decisions that lead to more long-term value creation.”

The event will start on 1 November at 08:30 in the morning and breakfast will be served. The event will be held in Little Hanko at Hanken in Helsinki and will not be recorded or streamed. Both students and staff are welcome to attend.
