Welcome to the Department of Marketing.

The Department of Marketing engages in internationally acknowledged research and education in two subjects: Marketing, and Supply Chain Management and Social Responsibility.

Subjects and studies

Within the subject of Marketing, there are several specialization areas, such as customer relations and customer experiences, service and product innovations, and business models and strategic marketing. You can find more information on the studies of the subject Marketing here.

The core areas within the subject of Supply Chain Management and Social Responsibility are Social and Corporate Responsibility, Supply Chain Management as well as Humanitarian Logistics. Research and research centres

The research and the researchers at the Department of Marketing are gathered in our two research centres: CERS and HUMLOG.

CERS (Centre for Relationship Marketing and Service Management) is the research centre of the Marketing subject. Our research is focused on service research and philosophy within it the four focus areas: Innovation & Strategic Marketing, Customer-centricity & Market Insights, Consumers & Well-being and B2B Marketing & Sales

HUMLOG (The Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institute) is the research centre of the subject of Supply Chain Management and Social Responsibility. HUMLOG operates in cooperation between Hanken and the National Defence University of Finland, and it focuses on research on humanitarian logistics.
