Sustainability: the heart and soul of Hanken’s strategy

Rector sends a message regarding the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the role Hanken has as an educator, a research institution, an employer and as civil society actor.

We must as citizens and as organisations undertake rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society. Our collective global responsibility is to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As an educational institution, Hanken has the power to generate positive change in the world. We want to take charge and push the boundaries in building a more responsible society through collaboration and innovation.

Integrating sustainability and responsibility in everything we do is part of our strategy HANKEN 2025. Hanken is also a Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) signatory: we made the commitment to mainstreaming Sustainable Development Goals across all our roles-  as educator, as research institution, as employer and as civil society actor.

The role that Hanken aims to play is ambitious and requires action from each one of us. To start the discussion, you are welcome to the:

Sustainable Development Goals Week, organised at Hanken 13-21.11.2018. Read more about the event here!
