Project course in CSR and humanitarian logistics

The Centre for Corporate Responsibility at Hanken arranged a project course in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and humanitarian logistics, which also included co-operation with companies and NGO’s.

The aim of the course was to immerse the students in questions related to CSR by analysing and solving real-world problems provided by case organisations and then presenting the results in class. Among the cases were questions regarding the CSR of family-owned businesses, producing videos about sustainability and CSR and making guidelines about CSR for startup companies.

-I think the course has been very useful to get hands-on experience and conduct a real case project in cooperation with well-known companies and NGOs, such as UNICEF. We have learnt networking, ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of the project and time management skills, says Elina Iamsia, course participant.
