Number of applicants to Hanken on the rise again

Hanken received a total of 1254 applications (2017: 1114) within the deadline for the integrated BSc and MSc programme in Vaasa and Helsinki this year. The application period ended on 28 March 2018.

Hanken is experiencing a positive trend with a continuously growing number of applications for the 11th year in a row.

-We are very pleased with the result. The increasing number of applicants is proof that the high quality of the education at Hanken is appreciated, says Planning Officer Linda Martelius.

Hanken will also offer admission to a finalist from the Ekonomiguru-competition for the first time. The finalist came in second in the competition last year.

As of 2018 Hanken is part of the joint application to higher education in Finland. 60% of the applicants are admitted based on their results from the matriculation examination. It is also possible to be admitted through an admission test which is the same for all universities in Finland that offer business degrees. The test is held on 6 June 2018 at Hanken.
