Maria Ehrnström-Fuente's PhD thesis awarded

Researcher Maria Ehrnström-Fuentes from Hanken has won the first prize in the EDAMBA Thesis Competition 2018 for her thesis ”Legitimacy in the Pluriverse: Towards an Expanded View of Corporate-Community Relations in the Global Forestry Industry.

Since 1.9.2018 Maria is working with her Academy of Finland post-doctoral project in the Department of Management and Organisation at Hanken in Vaasa:
Organising from the grassroots -territorial movements and their role in building sustainable futures. This research aims to understand how sustainable change can occur through the responsiveness of grass-roots activism in places where movements are building alternatives from below.

The European Doctoral Programmes Association, EDAMBA, is a European association for doctoral education within Management and Business Administration. A membership requires quality and quantity within the education. Currently there are about sixty membership universities in Europe. The EDAMBA Thesis Competition takes place annually and all the membership universities may nominate candidates in the competition.
