Kurt Björklund donates one million euros to Hanken

Hanken alumnus Kurt Björklund donates one million euros to the ongoing fundraising campaign Count on Hanken. With his donation, Björklund wishes to inspire Hanken's alumni to participate in the campaign and thereby strengthen Hanken's core activities.

"Hanken has given me a fantastic foundation and with this donation I want to give back for the education I received and emphasize the importance of giving the same opportunity to future generations. Investing in high-quality education ensures a competitive future for Finland," says Kurt Björklund.

"It is with great joy and deep gratitude that we receive this donation. It means a lot that Hanken's alumni support their alma mater, it is the ultimate proof that Hanken is developing in the right direction and living up to the demands and expectations set by both individuals and society at large," says Hanken's Rector Karen Spens.

The fundraising campaign Count on Hanken runs until 30.6.2022. The funds raised are used to strengthen Hanken's unique position as Finland's only independent business school.
