Join Hanken’s SDG Week 2026!

From 21 to 27 September 2026, Hanken welcomes students, staff, faculty, alumni and the public to participate in SDG Week 2026, a week dedicated to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year's programme brings together sustainability research, responsible business, social impact and wellbeing. 
Take part in a diverse programme featuring expert talks, seminars, discussions, exhibitions as well as wellbeing and community activities.


Highlights from the programme
•    Art exhibition Moving Ecologies, with an opening event (Helsinki)
•    Reporting Beyond Buzzwords!? How Impact Entrepreneurs Contribute to Sustainable Development, (Helsinki) - open lecture with a guest lecturer 
•    Sneak Peek to Sustainability Research at Hanken, with kaffe and bulle (Helsinki and Vaasa) - please register by 16.9.
•    Breakfast seminar - EmpCo: From Generic Sustainability Claims to Silence, or a Real Driver of Transparency and Sustainable Transformation? | Hanken (Helsinki)
•    Punchlines and Power: Confronting Colonialism in Academia (Helsinki) – Please register by 14.9.
•    Blood donation organised by SHS (Helsinki, Vaasa at VAMK)
•    Plant-based breakfast Helsinki and Vaasa – Please register by 14.9. / 15.9. 
•    Break exercise with music (Helsinki)


SDG Week is an opportunity to learn, exchange ideas and take action together. It has become an established part of Hanken's sustainability work, providing a platform for dialogue, learning and collaboration across disciplinary and organisational boundaries.
