Hanken ranks fifth in Nordic comparison

A study done by professor Sami Vähämaa and post-doctoral researcher Jukka Sihvonen at Vaasa University shows that Finnish university level business schools rank high in comparison to other Nordic countries.

Vähämaa and Sihvonen compared the numbers of peer-reviewed articles published by various Nordic countries and universities in prestigious scientific journals in 2005-2015. According to the results, Hanken achieves fifth place.

Finnish universities are doing well especially in marketing, management, accounting and finance. During 2005-2015 the number of articles published by Finnish universities has more than tripled.

- In spite of the tough global competition and scarce resources are Finnish universities working effectively and produce high level scientific research. It is also delightful that Hanken ranks so high in this study, says Hanken´s Dean Timo Korkeamäki.
