Hanken among the top business schools

AACSB International has on 29 January 2021 announced that Hanken School of Economics has earned an extended accreditation. The AACSB accreditation is regarded as a hallmark of excellence in business education and has been earned by only five percent of the world’s business schools offering degree studies in business and economics.

International accreditations guarantee that business schools maintain high quality in both research, education, and stakeholder relations. AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is the longest serving global accreditation body for business schools and its business accreditation represents the highest achievement for a business school. Hanken received this recognition the first time in 2015.

"The fact that we have now earned an extended accreditation is proof of the long-term work we have done at Hanken to achieve and maintain the highest international quality in all our work. We are very proud and happy. A big thank you to everyone who contributes to us being able to call ourselves a Triple Crown business school", says Rector Karen Spens.

Rector Spens emphasises that each accreditation process needs commitment both among the staff and various partners.

Hanken belongs to the exclusive group of business schools that have earned all the three most prestigious international accreditations, AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. Only some 100 of the world’s business schools belong to this group. That confirms Hanken’s position as one of the leading business schools both in Finland and internationally.
