Co-funding and strengthened fundraising

Hanken participates in the co-funding campaign by the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, where a total of 67 million euro will be allocated to the universities as co-funding for raised donations.

The state thus matches donations to Hanken with up to 2,5 for every collected euro. The raised funds go to Hanken’s core activities and the co-funding strengthens the basic capital. The goal of the campaign is to strengthen the core business and ensure Hanken's unique position as Finland's only independent business school.

-It is a unique and fantastic opportunity to once again be able to strengthen our activities through a matching campaign and we realize the importance of reaching out to Hanken's stakeholders. The basis for success lies in the mutual trust between Hanken, our students, our alumni, our external partners, and everyone who in one way or another supports Hanken's continued development, says Rector Karen Spens.

In support of the campaign, Hanken’s Board has appointed a campaign committee consisting of the external members Kristina Pentti-von Walzel (Chair), Henrik Andersin, Kurt Björklund, Maria Didrichsen, Henrik Ehrnrooth, Robert Furuhjelm, Johanna Hamro-Drotz, Roger Holm, Frank Korsström, Rasmus Sinnemaa, and Jannica Fagerholm (Chair of the Board of Hanken), Karen Spens (Rector), and Camilla Wardi (Head of Corporate Relations and Outreach).

The campaign runs until 30.6.2022.
