Anu Torkkeli’s thesis on commercial law rewarded

Visiting researcher at Hanken Anu Torkkeli has on 23 May 2017 received a scholarship from the Fund for Promoting Finnish International Trade (SUE) for her doctoral thesis in commercial law.

Her thesis bears the title “Structuring corporate capital gains tax system in the European Union”.

The aim of the scholarship is to reward a doctoral thesis that meets the purpose of the fund, i.e. to promote, support and develop Finnish foreign trade and the prerequisites of Finnish companies internationally.

The motivation to choosing Harilainen’s thesis is that it’s useful for society in a number of ways. Torkkeli’s thesis concerns the remodeling of consolidated taxation from an international perspective.
