Sneak peek to sustainability research
Have you always wondered what kind of sustainability research is done in the four different departments at Hanken?

Join us during the SDG week, as we explore different sustainability research topics at Hanken. We hope to have laid back discussion and networking around the different topics across disciplines! The event is organised in person both in Helsinki and Vaasa, where kaffe and bulle will be served. During the presentations by the researchers, the rooms are connected with Teams so that everyone can follow, but we will disconnect for in person interaction and kaffe and bulle afterwards. Kindly note: the event is only in person!

The Speakers:

  • Professor Gyöngyi Kovacs, Dean of Research: welcome words
  • Assistant Professor Eva-Lena Lundgren-Henriksson, Management and Organisation (Vaasa): NATO's impact on business relations between Finland and Sweden
  • Associate Professor Emilia Vähämaa, Finance (Vaasa): Sustainable investing in an uncertain world - Private investor perspectives
  • Postdoctoral Researcher Virva Tuomala, HUMLOG Institute, Supply Chain Management and Social Responsibility (Helsinki): WORM project – waste management in the humanitarian context
  • Assistant Professor Aaron Afzali, Accounting (Helsinki): ethnic minority directors
