This year’s Quantum & AI Sustainability Hackathon will take place 08–10 October 2026 at Hanken School of Economics, Arkadiankatu 22, Helsinki.
Join us where quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and sustainable finance converge to shape the next generation of financial systems. Traditional models are no longer sufficient; quantum introduces new ways to approach optimisation and simulation at scale, while AI enables insight extraction from vast datasets.
The Challenge
Explore how quantum computing can be applied to financial systems while integrating AI and ESG considerations. Place quantum methods at the core, rethinking optimisation, risk modelling, and data integration. Submissions can be a concept, prototype, application, or quantum model.

Pre-Hack Kick-Off Event
A Kick-Off takes place at Hanken on 17th of September at 4PM where you get to meet partner organisations, deepen your understanding of the challenge, and get
inspired. Followed by mingling with appetisers and drinks.
