Guest lecturer: Professor Paul Lillrank, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Aalto University

Date and time: May 12, 16.30-18.00

Venue: Futurum, Hanken School of Economics

Value in healthcare means the relation between patient-level health outcomes and the amount of resources spent. This is the only known credible and feasible way to curb escalating costs. There are, however, several challenges in developing value-based measurements and practices, such as the definition and operationalization of outcome and benefit, as well as the definition of the timeline for measurement.

Welcome to Paul Lillrank’s guest lecture about ”The Challenge of Value-based Management in Healthcare” arranged by Hanken Centre for Corporate Governance. The guest lecture is open for all interested.
