Jonas Gustafsson

I hold a Doctor of Science (DSc) degree in Economics and Business Administration, with Finance as the major. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in Finance at Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki. My postdoctoral research is funded by the OP Pohjola Research Foundation. I also hold a BSc in Business and Economics and an MSc in Finance from Stockholm School of Economics, as well as an MSc in Accounting from Umeå School of Business and Economics.

My research interests focus on corporate finance and supply-chain issues. My doctoral dissertation (defended in June 2025) was titled Essays on Supply-Chain Shocks and Financing.

To date, I have supervised 62 BSc theses and 20 MSc theses. I have also served as a teaching assistant for the introductory course Finance and Investments and the PhD-level course Current Issues in Finance.

My office (D 610) is on the 6th floor of the main building.
