Hanken is launching a Swedish and Finnish Language Café to provide a welcoming, relaxed environment where international students and staff can practice and improve their language skills. We are looking for committed tutors to join us! Read more and apply below.

About the Language Café 

  • When: Every second Wednesday, 16:00–17:00, at the Teacher’s Lounge, starting 29.10.2025 
  • Who: Open to all Hanken students and staff learning Swedish and/or Finnish 
  • What: Small-group discussions by language and skill level, covering culture, work-life in Finland, traditions, and more 
  • Atmosphere: Supportive, fun, and interactive, led by tutors and guest speakers 

What does your role as tutor include?

  • Lead fun and interactive conversations  
  • Help plan session themes with guidance from the integration/language team. 
  • Run 1-hour sessions from 16:00 to 17:00. Each session requires about 4 hours of work in total, including preparation, the session itself, and post-session follow-up. 
  • Be part of a welcoming, international, and inclusive environment. 

Requirements to become a tutor:  

  • Fluent in Swedish and/or Finnish 
  • Available for all sessions in the academic year 2025-2026: 29.10, 12.11,26.11,10.12, 21.1, 4.2, 18.2, 4.3, 18.3,1.4, 15.4, 29.4  
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable guiding group discussions.
