Scholarships and Honorary Awards
The Rector has decided to award the best students with a scholarship, the Rector's list scholarship at the end of each academic year. The awards for the best performers include a financial supplement.
Every spring and autumn, honorary awards are given to the best performing Bachelor students who go on exchange. The exchange awards do not include any financial supplement (aside from the standard travel allowance). As these honours are awarded only to the best performing students, we wish it to be regarded as an honorary scholarship and our hope is that it can be favourably raised in for example employment processes.
The recipients are invited to Hanken’s Donor evening and scholarship ceremony, which takes place in November.

Criteria
Graduates should meet each criterion, after which they are ranked on the basis of their GPA, and the top 5 per cent in each category are awarded scholarships. The number is rounded up to the nearest whole number. For these scholarships, all graduates from the previous academic year (1 August–31 July) are taken into account, and the cut-off date is 20 September of each calendar year. Graduates’ GPAs are calculated on the basis of the courses associated with the degree in question. The first cohort to be awarded according to these criteria will be graduates from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2027.
Integrated Master's students (5 years), top 5% of graduates
- At the cut-off date of 20 September, having graduated during the previous academic year (1 August–31 July).
- Maximum of 10 semesters of attendance, i.e. graduated within the standard duration of study for the degree.
- Average mark: GPA of at least 4
Master's programme in English and Swedish (2 years), top 5% of graduates
- At the cut-off date of 20 September, having graduated during the previous academic year (1 August–31 July).
- Maximum of 4 semesters of attendance, i.e. graduated within the standard duration of study for the degree.
- Average mark: GPA of at least 4
Master's programme in English (1 year), top 5% of graduates
- At the cut-off date of 20 September, having graduated during the previous academic year (1 August–31 July).
- Maximum of 2 semesters of attendance, i.e. graduated within the standard duration of study for the degree.
- Average mark: GPA of at least 4
Bachelor's programme, top 5% of graduates
- At the cut-off date of 20 September, having graduated during the previous academic year (1 August–31 July).
- Maximum of 4 semesters of attendance, i.e. graduated within the standard duration of study for the degree.

Criteria
This honorary award is awarded on the basis of the student’s rate of study combined with their academic performance. The selection takes place once the student exchange list has been finalised: in early summer for students going on exchange in the autumn, and in late autumn for those going on exchange in the spring.
