Instructions regarding the drone alert on 15 May
Early on Friday morning, 15 May, the Finnish authorities issued a warning message stating that a drone might be moving in the Uusimaa region, and people were advised to stay indoors. The danger was called off after seven o’clock in the morning.
In situations like these, it is important for both students and staff to follow the authorities’ instructions. The authorities recommend that you download the 112 Suomi app.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, if there is an imminent danger, an emergency warning will be issued and/or a public warning siren sounded. Emergency warnings are broadcast on the radio and sent through the 112 Suomi app and, if necessary, shown on television. The emergency warning is also shown on teletext page 112.
