Helleke Heikkinen

Helleke is an assistant professor in supply chain management & social responsibility at Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki.

She does research on sustainable and resilient supply chains, the circular economy, and last-mile delivery. She also researches security if supply (huoltovarmuus) and comprehensive security-related topics. Her theoretical specialty is paradox theory and its ontological underpinnings.

Helleke's background is in business and the startup and technology industry. Before joining academia, she worked within and with tech companies, first building up the support and e-commerce section at the SW company Jolla, then opening the office of the Swedish startup Fundera in Finland, and then matching innovative companies with funding at the Finnish Business Angels Network. During her three years in Berlin, she did business development consulting and worked with key accounts at tech company Honeypot.
