Getting to the Helsinki campus
By bike or city bike
Arriving to Hanken by bike is easy as we are located near the cycle path Baana in the city centre and bike lanes also run past the main building (Arkadiankatu 22) and Hanken’s premises on Arkadiankatu 28. We have bike racks outside each building, allowing you to park your bike during your visit.
During April-October, you can come to Hanken by Alepa city bikes. Their pick-up/drop-off location is across the street from the main entrance of Hanken’s main building (Arkadiankatu 22). You can also borrow one of the two Hanken bikes at reception for your meetings and errands during working hours.
By tram or bus
Thanks to our central location, there are several trams and buses that can take you to Hanken. We even have tram and bus stops named after us, as the stops next to the main building are called “Hanken”. The stops next to Hanken’s premises on Arkadiankatu 28 are called “Arkadiankatu” and the stops by Economicum (Arkadiankatu 7) are called “Luonnontieteellinen museo”. You can reach us by tram numbers 1, 2 and 8 and buses such as 20, 30, 400. It is very convenient to check the route with the Journey Planner.
Long distance buses to Helsinki have a final stop in Kamppi, which is about ten minutes walking distance or six minutes cycling distance from Hanken. You can also take the local buses and trams. Long distance buses 280 and U280 also stop at the “Hanken” bus stop. You can check the routes for long distance buses at Matkahuolto Reittiopas.
By train
The Helsinki Central Railway station is about a 16-minute walk, a six-minute bike ride, or a ten-minute journey by public transport from Hanken. Thus, it is easy to reach us also by local or long-distance trains. You can check the Journey Planner for local trains while VR has schedules for the long-distance trains.
By car
Hanken does not offer parking spaces, and we are located in a central area, which is why we strongly recommend you reach us by public transport.
