Hanken Executive MBA19 has started

The 19th Hanken EMBA programme started with 21 students. The first module of Hanken EMBA19 was held on 8th-10th of March. The module was facilitated by Pernilla Gripenberg (leadership development) and Patrick Furu (strategic thinking).

The next module will be held on 29th-31st of March containing Business Statistics with Rickard Sandberg and Communications Skills with Lola Martinez.

Students from several industry sectors are represented, such as Finance, Real Estate, Humanitarian Assistance, IT, Retail, Forest industry, Design and Shipping. The educational backgrounds of the students are among others; Law, Architecture, Engineering, Economics, Political Science and Marine Technology. Also Hanken has one participant in the group; Nina Olin, Director of External Relations and Communications.

For the intake of 2017, the participant profile consists of professionals with an average age of 42 years with on average 17 years of work experience. The group includes male 71 % and female 29 %, of which 17 persons are Finnish citizens, two are foreign citizens and two persons have dual citizenship. Three of the students live abroad. Finnish and Swedish are the most common native languages among the students.

The Executive MBA programme of Hanken has been able to attract suitable, experienced and qualified students. EMBA19 consists of a higher ratio of females and of students with higher age and more years of work experience than before.

Hanken EMBA has now two ongoing Executive MBA programmes; the group EMBA18  that started in March last year and EMBA19 in March this year.
