Academic Work aims to help students in their careers

Academic Work is the latest member of Hanken’s Partner Programme. As Branding Partner, and recruitment and staffing company, Academic Work aims to be a career partner for Hanken students.

Academic Work is a staffing and recruitment company that offer jobs for students or young professionals in the beginning of their career.

– With us, you can work as a consultant on specific client assignments, or you can become employed directly by one of our customer companies through our recruitment service, says Jasmine McBride, head of Event Marketing at Academic Work.

For Academic Work, the aim with the partnership is to be a part of the students’ academic life from the first day of school until their graduation and beyond that, says Jasmine McBride.

– We want to be their career partner, help them find a part time job during studies, educate about job seeking and help them put a great CV and Linkedin profile together. We want to teach them about self-selling and pitching yourself but first and foremost, we want to make sure they all believe that they have a bright career ahead of them!

By young professionals, McBride means students in universities and graduates with up to five years of experience.

– Our candidates are in the center of our business. In 2018 we were proud to be a career partner to over 3000 young professionals. Hanken students are extremely interesting target group for Academic Work because of their versatile degrees, language skills and ambitious mindset, says McBride.
