My research interests include equality and diversity at work, non-binary gender, gender and technology, racialisation, and intersectionality.
In my PhD work, I examine the reasons for educational and occupational gender segregation, particularly in the context of vocational education and training. My thesis consists of three articles of which two are published: “The Gendering of Technology Education: minority Ethnic Students’ Experiences of a Women-Dominated Vocational Dental Technology Programme” and "Racialised discourses on migrants and language skills in Finnish vocational education".
In addition to my PhD work, I have conducted several reports about gender equality and diversity for the Finnish Government and participated in various national and international research projects. My earlier educational qualifications include M.S.Sc. with a major in gender studies from Linköping University and M.Sc. (Econ.) from Turku School of Economics.
I’m a co-coordinator of Hanken Gender Research Group (GRG) that meets every second Monday of the month, either online or f2f at Hanken. Contact me if you want to join the e-mail list!
