Hanken School of Economics was recognized for its social impact and sustainability achievements when the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) results were launched on 17 June 2021 at the UN PRME Global Forum. Hanken was one of 47 business schools from 21 countries worldwide that took part in the rating this year and achieved Level 3, making it a progressing school within the PIR.

This autumn, Hanken has made further commitments in sustainable development. The School has been accepted as a member of the network Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and now co-hosts the Global Business School Network’s (GBSN) conference.

On 18 June 2020 Hanken was awarded for excellence in reporting for its PRME report 2016-18 among 500 competitors at the PRME Global Forum. Hanken has specially been recognised for its reporting on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Hanken's second Sustainable Development Goals week will be held from November 19th to 26th in Helsinki and Vaasa, with the aim of mobilising students, staff and members of public to board on a collective journey towards achieving the global goals. All events and exhibitions are free of charge and most of them are open to all!
