Registration of right to reside in Finland

All new students except nationals of the Nordic countries need to register their right to reside in Finland if the studies exceed 3 months after they have arrived in Finland. The right to reside in Finland is valid until further notice.

Note!

Non-EU-citizens:  Please fill in the form below, print it AND bring the duly filled in form with you to to Orientation Days together with the required enclosures. The Local Register Office will be present on the 30th August and you will be able to submit the form.

EU/EEA-citizens (except nationals of the Nordic countries): In order to be able to submit the form, you will first have to visit the Finnish Immigration Services in order to complete the EU-citizen’s registration. Only after that you can submit the registration form to the Local Register Office. Hence, if you wish to submit the form during the Orientation Days, you have to visit the Finnish Immigration Services before the Orientation Days.

Nationals of the Nordic countires:  Please fill in the form below, print it AND bring the duly filled in form with you to to Orientation Days together with the required enclosures. The Local Register Office will be present on the 30th August and you will be able to submit the form.

 

Students in Vaasa

The same documents are required of students in Vasa as listed in the info leaflet above directed to Helsinki students, but you need to visit the local register office in Vaasa (address: Wolffintie, 65101 VAASA) during the office hours (Monday - Friday 09:00 - 16:15) to submit the form.
