As the financial situation is getting tougher for all Finnish universities, Hanken needs to stand on a solid financial ground to be able to maintain its unique position as Finland’s only independent business school.
Through increased finances Hanken will focus on the following areas:
A global education
Hanken aims to offer international top quality degree programmes, and we believe that study- and research related exchange programs and international recruitments support this ambition. This also supports our aspiration to graduate responsible global citizens.
The research at Hanken holds high international standard, this is something we are very proud of and intend to proceed. Hanken also aims to graduate 16 doctors per year and we want to guarantee funding for four years for all our doctoral students.
A stimulating environment
Hanken aims to offer an inspiring study- and work environment that is characterized by tolerance and openness. We also strive to modernize the study environment to be able to offer a competitive education and give our students the necessary skills in modern working techniques.
Entrepreneurship for the future
With focus on future entrepreneurship, Hanken wants to offer an elemental basis for innovative and viable companies. Hanken’s role is to combine the in-house know-how with the expertise of the corporate world and the alumni network to encourage entrepreneurship with emphasis on responsible, long-term ownership.
