Macromarketing has it origins in 1970s and has always covered issues on societies. [In this panel our experts will discuss its role through two lenses:]

Practical: [What is the] role of companies, climate change and pandemics and how [to link] innovation [to the] possiblit[ies] degrowth

 

Alexei Gloukhovtsev, Aalto University

Petra Berg, is a Researcher at the School of Marketing and Communication as well as the VEBIC platform, University of Vaasa, Finland. She holds a M.Sc. (Econ. & Bus.Adm.) degree from the Faculty of Business Studies from the University of Vaasa, Finland and is in the process of defending her doctoral thesis in the same faculty.  Petra has been participating as project researcher as well as coordinating proposal writing for national and EU (H2020) projects in sustainability, food and energy related areas. For the moment, she teaches responsible business and works as researcher in Biogas Utilization Opportunities in Ostrobothnia Region –project. Her research interests are in Macromarketing, Sustainability, transformative consumer research and transition management, with sustainable energy marketing systems transitions in focus. 

Petteri Repo, Helsinki University 

Pia Polsa, is Associate Professor of Marketing at the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, and has previously worked as researcher for Fudan University, Nankai University and as a Dean for Hult International Business School in Shanghai. Her current research interests a poverty alleviation, multi-dimensional value in cross-sector settings, service and relationship marketing at non-profit settings like health care, and cross-cultural methodology. She has published in journals such as Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Services Marketing, Supply Chain Management; International Journal, among others. Her work has also appeared in practitioner-oriented journals like Talouselämä. She is currently working on CORE (www.collaboration.fi) project on environmental issues and has consulted Ministry of Health and Social Affairs in Finland.
