U-Multirank university ranking places Hanken in the top

Hanken School of Economics has been ranked among the world’s top 35 universities and higher education institutions in the global U-Multirank university ranking on research and research linkages. The result is the second best in the Nordic countries.

The number of institutions ranked includes 1225 institutions from 95 countries. The ranking thus places Hanken among the top 3% of the world’s universities and higher education institutions. Despite the strong competition Hanken continues to perform extremely well.

"The results of the U-Multirank is in line with the Academy of Finland’s report on the state of scientific research in Finland. They show that Hanken School of Economics is Finland’s top university regarding research impact. This is remarkable considering that we are the smallest university in Finland", says Jaakko Aspara, Dean of Research.

U-Multirank compares 1 700 universities within a number of variables, such as research, teaching and learning, and international orientation. Hanken performs extremely well in variables such as international student mobility, share of international faculty, and international joint publications.

U-Multirank is one of the first global rankings to offer a full picture of the diversity of university performance. U-Multirank is developed and implemented by an independent consortium that consists of European higher education institutions and is supported by the European Commission.
