Sports center on top of student housing opened

The new eight storey building in Arabianranta, Helsinki, combines student housing and state of the art sports facilities.The building accomodates apartments on the lower levels and a sports center including a fitness gym and a test laboratory on top.

The sports center opened officially on 27 March. The new student apartments were also presented during the opening ceremony. This unique building project is the result of a partnership between Hanken and Arcada University of Applied Sciences. For the first time Hanken has student housing to offer its students.

- We see the joint student housing not only as a local investment, but we are also pleased to be able to offer our international students centrally located housing to affordable prices, said rector Karen Spens during the opening ceremony.
