Are you interested in becoming a member of the Board of Hanken?

It's time to nominate candidates for the election of members of the Hanken Board! You can nominate a colleague or yourself until 3.10.2018.

The term of the present Board of Hanken ends on 31st December 2018. A new board is therefore to be elected. The Board has six internal members, two professors, three representatives for other academic staff and general staff and one student representative.

In this video, Hanna Donner tells you (in Swedish) about her time on the Hanken Board and why she recommends you to sign up as a candidate.

The members are elected from within the groups. In group 2 other teaching and research staff have two seats and other staff (administration) have one seat on the Board. The external members of the Board are appointed by the University Collegiate Body.

The list of eligible voters and members is on display on the Hanken website and the official announcement board. The nomination of candidates goes on until 3rd October 2018.

Every member of a group can propose the same number of candidates as is to be elected from his or her group. Each nomination must include the nominated candidates' written consent. More than one person can nominate together one or two candidates. It is also possible to nominate yourself.

According to the University Law the University's Rector, Vice-Chancellor, Head of an Institution or other entity directly under the Board or a member or alternate member of the University College may not be a Board member.

Nominations should be made by using the form on this webpage. The form is also available in the reception in Helsinki and in meeting rooms and common areas in both Helsinki and Vaasa starting from week 39. Submit the form by internal mail or by e-mail to Anja Hongelin (anja.hongelin@hanken.fi) in Helsinki or Kristina Wallin (kristina.wallin@hanken.fi) in Vaasa.

After the end of the period the Electoral Board will check and publish the candidate after that Hanken will inform and market for the candidates.
The election will take place electronically during 16-23.10.2018.

The Students' Union elects its own representatives. Students enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at Hanken are eligible to vote and take part in the election only as student representatives from within the Student Union.
