The Hanken & SSE integration programme Business Lead wins award

The partnership between Hanken & SSE Executive Education and social impact bond fund manager Epiqus Oy wins European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) award in the category “Talent Development"

Since 2011, the EFMD Excellence in Practice Awards (EiP) has recognised outstanding and impactful Learning & Development partnerships in the domains of Leadership, Professional, Talent, Organisational and Ecosystem Development. The winners are selected based on the review of 4 key areas: a documented challenge, an effective partnering commitment, the appropriate L&D initiative and a proven business impact.

The cases and awards will be presented at the award ceremony which is taking place on 18 October at the 2018 EFMD Executive Development Conference hosted by IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.

“Our partnership with Epiqus supports fast integration and enables work for educated and unemployed immigrants and refugees, says Marc Hinnenberg, CEO of Hanken & SSE Executive Education. This is the foundation for the integration programme Business Lead℠ which is also a great showcase of public-private partnership through the Social Impact Bond (SIB).”

“The Business Lead program is not only a success in terms of integration, but also an important statement of the core values of all the partners of the initiative”, says Karen Spens, Rector of Hanken School of Economics. “We are delighted that the partnership has won the EFMD Excellence in Practice Gold Award, it is a testament to the impact of successful partnerships.”

The integration programme Business Lead combines education, mentorship and internship work and is a fast-track for unemployed educated immigrants and refugees into business life.
