International Talent Programme launched

The International Talent Programme is the first of its kind in Finland with the aim of bringing leading Finnish companies and international students together.

The intention of the programme is to place international talents at the companies’ disposal and simultaneously integrate international students in the Finnish business life.

The unique International Talent Programme has started with a kick-off at Hanken. Eager students and company representatives from KPMG, PwC, Wärtsliä, Naava, StoraEnso and Fazer took their first steps on their joint path.

The programme received 60 applications from which 20 students were singled out for the kick-off on 25 September 2017. During the evening the students were interviewed by the companies and each one did a personal ranking as to with whom they would like to work with. The next step will be to find matches between these two groups. The selected student will have a personal sponsor in the company that will offer guidance and tasks for a period of two years.

"The programme is about encounters on several levels between the students, Hanken and the companies involved. The companies get a better insight in what’s on at Hanken and the students gather experience from the business world", says Erik Lund, Head of Career Services at Hanken and one of the promoters of the programme.
