The effects of Helsinki GSE on Hanken

Aalto University, Hanken and University of Helsinki have expressed a joint will to prepare a new unit in economics: Helsinki Graduate School of Economics.

This week these three Helsinki-based universities offering education and research in economics have expressed an intent to founding a new unit for research and education in economics. Read the news here.

The aim of the unit is to improve the competitiveness within the international research community and increase the number of experts, as well as master's and PhD degrees.

The new unit is going to continue the existing productive collaboration within the HECER-centre. Helsinki GSE will not be an employer as all professors and researchers will remain employees at their respective university.

The final decision about founding Helsinki GSE will be made by the Hanken board this autumn.
