Courses in reference management, financial databases and information search

The library organizes short courses in RefWorks, information search, EIKON, Capital IQ and Westlaw.

We are organising the following courses in period 1:

Refworks

RefWorks is an online research management tool to help students and researchers to easily gather, manage and store references, as well as generate bibliographies.

Search clinic

Do you need help with finding sources for your essay or thesis? We will go through different article databases and look into their search functions. This class will teach you the search methods that are required for succeeding in your studies.

EIKON

Eikon is a set of software products provided by Thomson Reuters to monitor and analyze financial information. Eikon provides access to real-time market data, news, fundamental data, analysis and tools for trading and messaging. The course will be taught by Dianne Claire G. Ocumen and Mikael Lehto from Thomson Reuters.

Capital IQ

Quantitative research and financial analysis solutions. The course will be taught by Anjali Shah from S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Time and place: Thursday 14.09 at 14.00-16.00 in room 407

Westlaw

Westlaw database contains legal information and news from all over the world. The course will be taught by Tom Delsaer from Thomson Reuters.
