Open Access Publishing at Hanken
The library publishes the school’s series open access and they are found in the institutional repository DHanken.
As a Hanken associated researcher you can use DHanken for parallel publishing (self-archiving) your articles and conference papers. Acquaint yourself with the journal’s open access policy before you submit your article to the journal. You find it on the website of the journal or in the database SHERPA/RoMEO.
SHERPA/RoMEO describes the journals’ terms for parallel publishing. If there is a fee-based alternative (so-called hybrid OA) available you should follow the link to the website of the journal for more information. There is also a list of publishers with paid options for open access. Remember to check if the publisher also demands an embargo period, e.g. should the article be published with a delay (so-called delayed OA)?
In SHERPA/RoMEO the journals are divided into four categories:
- Green if the journal allows the author to parallel publish pre-print and post-print or publisher's version/PDF.
- Blue if the journal allows the author to parallel publish post-print (ie final draft post-refereeing) or publisher's version/PDF.
- Yellow if the journal allows the author to parallel publish pre-print (ie pre-refereeing).
- White if the journal do not formally support archiving.
In order to parallel publish your article, you should upload it in HARIS. Instructions for parallel publishing in HARIS.
