The Fazer Award is given every other year to a student who has demonstrated good study performance and highlights or works actively on issues related to equality, the environment and sustainable development, transparency or social issues. The application deadline is 31 October 2023.

Top Finnish design from the 1950s, carefully thought-out lighting, colours and soft flooring for a friendly and cozy atmosphere, and beautiful windows bringing natural light and the city outside into the rooms. The Hanken building in Helsinki was created by a dream team, says Päivi Helander, an Olof Ottelin researcher and one of the guides when Hanken participated in Helsinki Design Week.

At the international level, states from the Global South (i.e. Africa, Asia and Latin America) agree that responsible business means transferring knowhow, resources and technology from the north to the south, and that companies must not violate state sovereignty. At the national level, these states can steer foreign companies' CSR activities, so that resources are channelled towards public and private actors in positions of power.

Markus Wartiovaara (Dr. Econ.) has been appointed a three-year tenure as Professor of Practice at Hanken School of Economics. Wartiovaara, who has a background as an internet and family entrepreneur, is the director of the business incubator Hanken Business Lab.
