Hanken has launched a new MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) about how to respond to health emergencies such as COVID-19. On the course, you can learn about COVID-data and models, crisis governance during pandemics, medical supply chains, and how misinformation on social media can be combated.
Henrik Helenius får Anders Walls stipendium 2023

Hanken student Henrik Helenius has been awarded the Anders Wall scholarship of approximately 20,000 euros for having excelled in entrepreneurship and creative thinking. The scholarship was presented on 10 March 2023 at the Anders Wall Foundation's scholarship award ceremony in Stockholm. Helenius is one of the founders of Droppe, a marketplace that sells supplies to industrial companies.

Demand for agricultural commodities in the EU are driving land use change in biodiversity-rich countries in for example Africa and Latin America, leading to major biodiversity losses. Hanken School of Economics is part of a large EU-project that aims to generate new knowledge and tools on how to make agrifood systems more sustainable.

PhD Johanna Gummerus has been appointed as the new Professor of Marketing at Hanken School of Economics. Professor Gummerus has a long and warm relationship with Hanken. She graduated from the university in 2011 and enjoys it so much that she has worked here ever since.

PhD (Econ.) Jennie Sumelius has been appointed Professor of Management and Organisation at Hanken School of Economics. Professor Sumelius has a long background at Hanken, both as a student and as a colleague in various positions.

Hanken’s master level students now have the opportunity to apply for a two-week summer course "Business and Innovation in China" in Shanghai, organized by the Nordic Centre at Fudan University, one of China's top academic institutions. The course takes place during June 30 – July 14, 2023 and is estimated to equal 5 ECTS.

Hanken School of Economics (Hanken) has been granted EUR 377 000 through EU funding to focus on the resilience of freight transport networks in Europe.
“Our transport networks have never been so disruptive as they are today. We want to make the networks more resilient and more sustainable for the future”, says assistant professor Sarah Schiffling at Hanken's HUMLOG Institute.
