Course description

The course aims to provide students insights of current topics in the field of intellectual property research.

The course consists of intensive workshops or conferences given over a short time period. Each seminar has own program description specified by the instructor.

The amount of credits is decided by the examiner before the course starts. 

Learning Goal

You have an in-depth knowledge of the comprehensive range of topics on intellectual property.

After completing the course, you will be able to
  • place a specific research project to on going academic discourses on the area of intellectual property, globally.
International Learning Experience

The course requires students to participate in various international conference, seminars and workshop.

Target Group

The course is only for doctoral students admitted to the doctoral program in Commercial Law.

Instruction

Lectures and seminars. Lectures or its equivalents have to be attended in full.

Scheduled(contact hours) 12-42 hours
Non scheduled work: 41-172 hours

For 2 ECTS: 12 hours of lectures, learning journals or/ an essay with approximately 10 pages is required.
For 3 ECTS: 20 hours of lectures, learning journals and an essay(s) of 15 pages 
For 4 ECTS: 25 hours of lectures, learning journals and essay(s) of approximately 20 pages 
For 5 ECTS: 30 hours of lectures, learning journals and essay(s) of approximately 25 pages 
 
For 6 ECTS:  35 hours of lectures, learning journals and essay(s) of approximately 30 pages
For 7 ECTS: 40 hours of lectures, learning journals and essay(s) of approximately 35 pages
For 8 ECTS: 42 hours of lectures, learning journals and essay(s) of approximately 40 pages

Seminar participations, journals/paper submission

Articles and further reading material as specified by the instructor.
