Courses and registration
The course selection is at the bottom of this page. You will not need a user-ID at this point.
How to register
Before registering, check the pre-requisites of the course you are interested in. The course descriptions are in Hanken's study admin system, Sisu. Instructions on how to find the descriptions are here. You wont need any password at this point.
If the course has pre-requisites described in the course description, you need to send a copy of a certificate of your previous studies to email@example.com.
You find the Open University online registration service at the bottom of this page. Choose campus (Helsinki or Vaasa) and course language from the dropboxes, then click on the course name of the course you want to register for; this will take you straight to the registration form. Use separate units for registering and payment (computer + mobile phone) to prevent trouble with the payment. For Open University students it is not possible to register via Sisu.
The courses are mainly given as contact teaching (in-class), which may require mandatory attendance. However, we also offer online courses and self-study courses. Always check the course description for the course that interests you on how the teaching and examination is structured. Exams may require physical attendance, even for online courses.
The scheduling system for contact teaching courses is here.
After your course registration, you will receive an auto-reply email with essential information. If you don't receive it to your inbox, please also check your spam/junkmail.
A student who has passed an exam may attempt to improve the grade only once. The re-take has to be during the same course round.
The course fee is 15 euro/ECTS.
If you are a degree student registered as present at a Finnish university (other than Hanken), please register here: Registrationform. Please note that you can only choose among the courses given through the Open University.
