Marketing is a field that changes continually. Our course selection develops constantly to follow trends and changes in the discipline, industries and  markets. This involves that the course selection and study plans are updated yearly. Be therefore careful to follow your own year's study plan and check the changes in the course selection. Further down on this page you can see the changes in the course selection during the academic year 2017-2018.

Changes in course selection Helsinki:

New courses (versus the previous year):

  • Marketing analytics (23093)
  • Sustainable Brand Development (Project course)

Courses that will not be given:

  • Psychology of Advertising (23082)
  • Launching a New Business (18006)
  • Marknadsföring av konst och design (23056)

Changes in courses 2016-2017:

  • E-Business (23014) is not given any more. The course has been replaced by E-Business and Digital Marketing (2371).
  • Service Blueprinting in Business (23065) 4 ECTS, the name has been changed to Service Development Project (23065).

Changes in the course selection Vaasa:

Alternating courses given during the academic year 2017-2018:

  • 23058-V Marketing and technology, 8 ECTS - advanced level.
  • 23035-V Strategic Tourism Management, 8 ECTS - advanced level.

Alternating courses that are on hold during the academic year 2017-2018:

  • Small Business Marketing (23084-V) 8 ECTS - advanced level.
  • Personal selling and sales force management (2342-V) 8 ECTS - advanced level.
  • Brand Management (23085) 4 ECTS – course on subject level, course language has been changed to English.

Exchange studies/ Internship abroad

The Bachelor's studies include exchange studies or an internship abroad. If you choose exchange studies, it is recommended that you take courses that can be included in your degree. Normally, exchange students take courses in a separate minor subject.
