The Subject Politics and Business
The subject of Politics and Business can only be chosen as a minor subject by students. There is one faculty position in charge of the subject and responsible for four of its six bachelor's courses, and four external lecturers who are involved in teaching in different courses, including its mandatory basic course.
When it comes to research, the subject is complementary to Management and Organisation with which there are ongoing collaborative projects. The subject has specific expertise related to business and society relations, corporate social responsibility, the critical study of business discourses and their impacts, and responsible management education.
In line with the focus on responsible management education, four of the subject's courses can be taken as part of the Corporate Responsibility study module, which was set up when Hanken School of Economics adopted the United Nations PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education). More information about the courses you find here.
