General hygiene and prevention measures

  • Wash your hands with water and soap often and carefully, for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser if washing your hands is not an option.
  • Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth unless you have just washed your hands.  
  • Cough and sneeze into a disposable tissue and put the tissue in the bin immediately after use. If you do not have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your sleeve, not into your hands.

Recommendations and instructions

  • If you get influenza symptoms, you should stay home and avoid social contacts.
  • Helsinki city has a coronavirus helpline for residents of Helsinki. The number is 09 310 10024 (weekdays at 7-20) A national helpline can be reached by phone on 116 117. Helplines are busy at the moment and the services should be contacted only if the symptoms are severe.
  • Hanken’s exchange students are contacted by Hanken if needed.
