Internship abroad

As a student at Hanken you have the opportunity to gain international work experience even before you step out into the working life by preforming an internship. By performing an internship abroad for one semester at any organization, you get a chance to try out various tasks and use your theoretical knowledge, gain an insight into working life, learn about another culture and practice your language skills, make valuable contacts, etc. Internships give you invaluable lessons and experiences that you can benefit from for the rest of your life.

In addition, internships promotes the link between you and the work. Internships are often the first contact to the kind of work where you are able to use your academic skills. As such internships constitutes a valuable opportunity to explore your skills and future plans for work in the future.

Hanken has its own international internship program which is launched every year in December. Students can also apply for a scholarship through Ekonomforum for a internship abroad that they have acquired themselves. Common to both Hanken's own internship program and internships acquired by oneself is that it must be included in the studies (8sp), must be abroad, and must last at least three months. The student must also be registered as present at Hanken throughout the internship.

Admitted 2009 or later
