Study Module in Corporate Responsibility for Students at the University of Helsinki

Hanken School of Economics offers 25 students at the University of Helsinki the opportunity to complete the Corporate Responsibility study module comprising a minimum of 25 credits.

Administration and Application
The application form opened on Monday August 29, 2011 and closed Friday September 16, 2011. The application time has ended.

Those accepted have received a information on how to register.

The students from the University of Helsinki must prove that he or she is registered as present at the home university. The module should be a part of a degree at the University of Helsinki.A requirement is also that the students must attend the classes of the introductory course. The classes are:

Monday October 3, 2011 at 14.30-18.00 and Monday October 10, 2011 at 14.30-18.00. These lessons are compulsory.

The electronic JOO-application system is not to be used.

The study module can be a part of both Bachelor´s and Master´s degrees. The study right to complete the module is valid for four semesters. The status of the students is equivalent to JOO-students at Hanken. The module is free of charge for the sending university.

General Description of the Subject and Study Module
The study module in Corporate Responsibility (CR) is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of issues related to corporate responsibility and management ethics. The study module takes a cross-disciplinary approach combing perspectives on CR from Supply Chain Management and Corporate Geography, Politics and Business, Management and Organisation, and Commercial Law. The language of instruction is English.

The subject of Supply Chain Management and Corporate Geography administers the study module. The responsible teacher for the module is Nikodemus Solitander nikodemus.solitander@hanken.fi .

The study module may consist of more than the minimum amount of credits. The module may also consist of courses completed at other universities than Hanken. The responsible teacher accepts or rejects the courses that may be included in the module. Suggested alternative courses are presented on the website http://www.hanken.fi/student/en/csr . Please note that some of the higher level courses require certain courses as prerequisite.
